Jon Pardi : a true country legend

Compared to icons like George Strait and Alan Jackson, Jon Pardi has blazed his own trail, staying true to the genre’s roots while breaking new ground. With acclaimed albums such as Mr. Saturday Night and Heartache Medication, he has captivated country fans around the world with his unique fusion of traditional and modern sounds.

Recently, the singer, songwriter and producer celebrated his 6th #1 hit at country radio with the song Your Heart Or Mine. With over 2.5 billion streams on Spotify and over 20 million units sold, Jon Pardi is currently on the Mr. Saturday Night tour across the United States.

This fall, the renowned artist released a new single, Friday Night Heartbreaker, the first song from his new album coming in 2025. Hoping to hear more from his new project live at FCL next summer!

«10 years ago, many people doubted our project. We were three guys from Lotbinière with a passion for country music and the desire to do something different, but also great. Today, we announce with immense pride the arrival of an internationally renowned artist, Jon Pardi. Like him, we have carved our own path, remaining true to our values and our vision. Jon Pardi perfectly embodies the spirit of our festival, which is to combine tradition and modernity. This is exactly what we do at the FCL. » – Guillaume Laflamme, cofounder – Festival Country Lotbinière

10 facts for the 10th anniversary!

1. Forerunner and pioneer: Initiated in 2015, Festival Country Lotbinière was the first to devote itself exclusively to new country music in Quebec, a genre that was then little-known in the province of Quebec.

2. Intuition and passion: The festival is not only a venue for internationally recognized artists but also a platform for emerging artists, offering a rich and accessible program each year. The FCL has had the flair to give opportunities to emerging talents and has helped propel the careers of Quebec artists such as Matt Lang (2018) and Francis Degrandpré (2022).

3. Marketing an unknown product: In its first 5 years, FCL sold over 12,000 tickets and welcomed the cream of Canadian country music : Dallas Smith, Dean Brody, Brett Kissel, The Reklaws, James Barker Band, Jade Eagleson, Emerson Drive, Meghan Patrick to name a few.

4. Recognized in Quebec and Canada: FCL was nominated twice at Canadian Music Week in the Small Festival of the Year category (6,000 and less), won the event of the year award at the Chaudières-Appalache Tourism gala and was crowned broadcaster of the year at the Country Gala twice.

5. Strengthening the brand image: In 2021, FCL completely revamped its brand image, making it more modern and dynamic. It was also the only festival in Canada to produce an artist from outside the country in a pandemic context while respecting the health measures in place.

6. Accessibility to country music: In 2022, FCL expanded its range of activities and entertainment by introducing a second stage, this one free of charge. It allows us to showcase new Quebec artists and offers after-show entertainment.

7. International programming: Starting in 2023, FCL will produce around ten international artists, placing it in the top 5 independent country music festivals in Canada.

8. Diversification and expansion: In 2024, the Saloon was born. This additional attraction at FCL attracts many visitors and is very popular with festival-goers. In addition, a new campsite was added to the festival’s camping offer to allow more festival-goers to stay nearby.

9. Growth and awareness: Since 2024, FCL has been expanding its team. Initially composed of only 3 co-founders, it now has ten employees, demonstrating its growth and success. These nominations at the Pléiades and Fidéides galas at the respective chambers of commerce of Lévis and Québec demonstrate its constantly growing awareness.

10. A commitment to the community: FCL is a non-profit organization that has chosen to invest in the community. To date, nearly $500,000 has been reinvested in the region.
