Ok, maybe storming is not the right word, as I don’t think the audience would put up with such raucous behavior. Nonetheless, it was still a fun time at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa with Engelbert Humperdinck on his 50th Anniversary tour – The Legend Continues.
For someone who has been in this industry for 50 years (and on this planet for 30 more), Engelbert pulled off a show that demonstrated his experience and comfort with being in front of a crowd.
At first, I was a little apprehensive about attending, as this sort of performance is a bit outside of my normal musical interests. All things considered however, I could not resist the chance at capturing some photos of one of the legendary variety entertainers that has been performing for the past half century.
Engelbert has a performance record, list of awards and other achievements as long as both my arms put end to end. A few of these accolades include more than 140 million record sales, performances for the queen, Las Vegas and Hollywood Walk of Fame stars.
In light of only getting to use my camera for the first 3 songs, it was a memorable night. I got the photos I came for and I was privileged enough to catch a few of his tunes.

I hope you enjoy the rest of my photographs!
