“Austin” singer Dasha brought her sold out, debut, headlining tour ‘Dashville’ to Canada for her one and only show in Toronto at The Opera House. Despite the chilling weather and early darkness setting in, this event gathered women and children, young and old, all decked out in rhinestones and cowboy boots.

The night began with North Carolina’s Dalton Davis who took the stage alongside guitarist Jake Hess. The duo performed an energetic blend of folk and indie tunes, showcasing their harmonies and impressive musicianship with their undeniable musical chemistry. The highlight of their set came when they brought out Toronto producer Elijah Dax. His appearance added a fun, almost theatrical element to the performance, and the crowd definitely enjoyed it as they transitioned into a more experimental, genre-blending sound that hinted at what was potentially next to come from Dalton.

The atmosphere shifted dramatically with the arrival of the Rock N’ Horse Line Dancing Crew and DJ. Performing classic line dance songs incorporated with some of our favourite country songs of today, they transformed the entire venue into a scene straight out of Footloose. The crowd was immediately invited to join in, and before long, the entire venue was on its feel learning the basic steps of the line dance. The real fun come when they taught the entire crowd the viral choreography to Dasha’s hit song “Austin”.

The crowd was primed and ready for the party Dasha promised as she took the stage. With an electrifying entrance by her entire band and Dasha herself, she immediately engaged with the audience, showing her excitement for being here in Canada. Reaching out from the stage to grab fan-made signs and friendship bracelets within the first song proved she is not just a great performer, but also a master of connecting with her fans. Dasha’s energy on stage is unstoppable. She took a brief moment to stand behind her acoustic guitar and perform, but went straight back into being a ball of energy bouncing from one side of the stage to the next – even jumping off stage at one point, joining the party in the crowd.

The highlight of Dasha’s set was undoubtedly when she brought our Dalton Davis, Jake Hess, and Elijah Dax to join her for a party-like atmosphere on stage. The energy was off the charts as Dasha led the crowd through a rowdy rendition of “Austin”, her 5-time platinum hit in Canada, while jamming on stage with the guys. The entire venue became one giant line dance floor, the crowd moving in sync to the infectious beat. Dasha’s performance wasn’t just a concert – it was an experience, one where every song felt like celebration, and the connection between Dasha and the crowd was undeniable. For those who were able to catch her special appearance at the Rock N’ Horse earlier this year, they only got a taste of what she is capable of doing when it comes to performing.

Dasha wrapped up “Dashville” on November 15th but has promised to be back out on the road in 2025
