Chris Young brought his Losing Sleep World Tour to London’s Budweiser Gardens on November 1st with special guests Dan + Shay, Morgan Evans and Dee Jay Silver.
Starting out the night was none other than Australian singer songwriter Morgan Evans. This was his first trip to London for Morgan and he received a very warm welcome from the London crowd. Coming out on stage just him, his guitar and his ever powerful and very cool looping rig. If you’ve never witnessed someone utilizing the powers of looping Morgan is definitely the guy to see do it. Although its just him standing up on that big stage alone you feel like you’re listening to an entire band play in front of you. Morgan wasted no time getting the crowd at Bud Gardens on their feet with songs like “Kiss Somebody” and his current single “Day Drunk” off his second album which was release in October titled “Things That We Drink To”.
I’m still amazed with everything that the next act went thought in the day just trying to actually make it to the venue in time for the show how well they handled themselves and how evident it really is that these guys are the real deal. Dan + Shay battled bus issues, traffic slow downs and an getting stuck in an accident if I’m not mistaken. But these two gentleman came out on stage spot on like they had been waiting at the venue to go on for hours not just running thought the doors onto the stage.
I have to say I was most excited to see these guys mainly because they have always been at the top of my list of artists that I wanted to see live. Theres just something about the harmonies and absolutely unique voices that I’ve always felt just set Dan + Shay apart from many other of the duos in the business. I truly believe I’m not alone in that feeling either because when these two ran out on stage the arena absolutely erupted. I find it very hard to pick a singular favourite moment of the night because it was all absolutely incredible while these two preformed. The moments on stage during “From the Ground Up”, “Tequila” and current single “Speechless” were definitely at the top of my list. They lived up to the hype that follows them without a doubt. A must see artist in my opinion.
Although the tour is called “Losing Sleep” I have a very hard time believing that the man of the night; Chris Young has lost any sleep recently with his outstanding success in the country music world. The 33-year-old from Murfreesboro, Tennessee released his seventh studio album, “Losing Sleep” this past October. Chris absolutely exploded onto the stage with a performance that was packed with his new single “Losing Sleep” accompanied by his rowdy party anthem “Aw Naw” and showing his softer more soulful side with his hits “I’m Coming Over”, “Voices”, “Lonely Eyes” and “Who I am With You” Chris just kept the hits coming all night long for the eager London crowd. One of the best things about watching Chris preform is that you can see the passion and joy for the gift he’s been given absolutely flow from his entire being while he’s on stage. A performer who is truly grateful and happy doing exactly what he loves to do; Entertain.
The “Losing Sleep Tour” marked another great night of great music in London.
