On Wednesday night we had the pleasure of attending the Guelph stop of Dallas Smith‘s Tippin’ Point Tour. Arrangements to interview the guys from Sundy Best in the afternoon but, life has a way of reminding us that sometimes, things are out of our control. First, Corey was unable to attend and that left me in the driver’s seat. We headed into Guelph arriving early for our scheduled time. This gave me time to do some research and put together some questions of my own for Kris and Nick. And then my phone rang. Getting a call from the tour manager, just before your scheduled interview time isn’t usually a good thing. But in this case, it was a quick call to let us know they were a little behind schedule, nothing more.

UPDATED: Congratulations to Ginette Soucy, the winner of the Dallas Smith tickets!
Once in a while the opportunity comes along to do something really special for someone. It was an exciting moment for us when we found out that Universal Music Canada and 604 Records had approved a pair of passes and meet and greets with Dallas Smith for any of his shows on his, largely sold out, Tippin Point Tour. Little did we know how special it would become.

It’s the end of an era, veteran rockers Mötley Crüe are calling it a day but first they are going out on one last “final tour” with special guest Alice Cooper.
Dallas Smith Tippin’ Point Tour Hits Fredericton
We’ve got a guest post for you! From Fredericton, first time contributor Sophie Pyne, is a photographer getting her feet wet in the blogging world.
Last night I attended the Dallas Smith and Sundy Best Concert in Fredericton, N.B. at the Capital Exhibition Grounds.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the opening act, I’d never heard of them. I was very pleasantly surprised. They did the whole opening acoustically. I’m used to an opening act being backed by a ton of musicians. It was just the two of them with their guitars. They really got the crowd going for Dallas. This was their first trip to Canada and they said that they’d definitely like to come back. And I believe they even liked our Tim Hortons Coffee.
After Sundy Best, the crowd was in the mood to party and all they wanted was Dallas Smith to get on that stage and rock it. And boy did he ever. He definitely didn’t disappoint. From the time he got on stage to when he left after his encore, he never stopped. I was blown away by his energy and how much the crowd gravitated towards him. This is the first time I’ve seen him in concert. I’ve always enjoyed his music, and I can’t wait to be able to see him again live. I don’t think he left out one song that the crowd wanted him to sing. From his early songs to his current single. That man knows how to take over a stage and make his presence known. He had the crowd shaking in the stands and on the floor. I know I didn’t stop dancing the whole evening.
Anyone who has plans to see him will definitely not be disappointed.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to see him live in concert, go see him. You’ll love him.

CMT Hit Exchange
So last night I made a point to watch something I have been meaning to watch for the last month or so. I was pretty vocal on social media in Sept and Oct of 2014 saying that Canada needed to step up and put a CMT Crossroads thing together with some of Canada’s amazing talent in both Rock & Country.

The Tragically Hip – Warm Up Show
Hard to think back to a time when I was more excited to see a show. I have been to a pile of concerts over the last couple years and 95% being Country related.
