Dreams Take Flight is a national volunteer charitable organization dedicated to providing the trip of a lifetime to medically, mentally, physically, socially or emotionally challenged children. With the aid of Air Canada, other national and local organizations and businesses, money is raised to make the dream a reality in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. Every year one flight departs each of the above locations for a day of magic at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

The perfect location for an up-close-and-personal venue of great music. This event seems to get more and more popular year after year. Once again Ottawa nailed it.

Ottawa Valley based Country Music performers Rainwater Whiskey raised the roof with their high energy show at the The Crazy Horse in Kanata, ON in back to back nights Feb. 2nd & 3rd. If you were on the dance floor you definitely had a workout. There’s definitely a case that says the break between sets isn’t for the band- its for those on the dance floor.

Bitter North ends 2017 on a high note – CD Release
Local artists Bitter North released their second album, Vacation Days, on December 2, 2017 at Black Squirrel Bookstore at 1073 Bank Street in Ottawa, Ontario with a release party with some of their fans, friends and family. The event saw the band play their entire album start to finish with some classic gems thrown in. Throughout the night the members could be seen mingling and taking pictures with the crowd.

The final work week before the holidays has come to its end so what better way to kick off the holidays then to attend Amos the Transparent’s annual holiday show?! The band has been fairly under the radar since their 2014 release of ‘This Cold Escape’ but have made it a tradition to play a holiday show, and this year they returned to the Blacksheep Inn in Wakefield Quebec to celebrate the season with about 200 of their closest friends and fans.
