Thank god for sunscreen and beer… I mean, water.
Saturday was a scorcher, but that didn’t slow anyone down! The fields were full and I was excited for a day full of music including two of my favourites, FGL and Russell Dickerson.

What a hot beautiful Friday… and the country music fans were ready for more after Niko Moon’s amazing kick off party Thursday night!
It’s so good to be back and have it feel like we didn’t skip a beat-seeing the smiling faces of thousands of country music fans was enough to get me in the mood for a cold beverage and some live music.

It was a double birthday / anniversary celebration at RBC Bluesfest as I was celebrating my 48th and our friends at Country 92.3 CKBY celebrated their 50th year on the air in Ottawa. That’s quite the milestone for radio these days, of course CKBY has gone through some changes over the years but they’re still #1 for Country in Ottawa. So what better way to celebrate than with a huge country headliner, Luke Bryan.

Bluesfest organized a rock-heavy set for the main stage on July 13th, featuring Millencolin, Sum41, Alexisonfire, and the occasional mosh pit.

Before I begin let me clarify, for those who might be confused by the title, there wasn’t a giant bonfire at RBC Bluesfest on Tuesday night at Lebreton Flatts. But popular DJ, marshmello, was the first act to bring pyro to the stage at this year’s edition of the festival.
