It was the fall of 2014 we were approached by the folks at the Spencerville Stampede asking if we’d be interested in working with them on their 2015 entertainment lineup. Going into their 4th year this year the Stampede had always had a musical component but they wanted to raise the ante and bring some higher profile entertainment to the event.

A fantastic music filled, gorgeous Ontario day at the brand new Burl’s Creek Facility. If you were wondering if they could pull it off, they absolutely did.
Tragically Hip – Kickin’ it in Kitchener
Last night The Tragically Hip made a pit stop at the Kitchener Aud on their way back from 2 sold out nights in Kirkland Lake over the weekend. They are set to play a big Canada Day Extravaganza at Molson Amphitheatre on July 1st with a more carnival type setting before the concert. Might be kinda cool to check out. BUT.. On this night there were no rides, no cotton candy it was all about the music.
Shania Twain returns home, and proves she’s still the one!
It may have been over a decade since the reigning Queen of Canadian Country music has hit the road for a full tour but it definitely didn’t show. Coming off of a 2 year run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Shania kicked off her first tour earlier this month in Seattle, WA.
Autumn Hill Drop Anchor in Toronto
Autumn Hill – Anchor CD Release – June 24th – Adelaide Hall Toronto
Last night Autumn Hill dropped Anchor at Adelaide Hall for one hell of CD Release party. With what felt like a full house the energy in the place was just buzzin’. The night started off with Sudbury, Ontario native and label mate Andrew Hyatt. I had a chance to catch Andrew this past weekend when he played the Sound Of Music Festival in Burlington. This time around it was a little different. Andrew had a full band backing him in Burlington but last night it was him and his guitarist. I am more an acoustic guy and love hearing things a bit more raw and less plugged in so this set was PERFECT for my liking. Andrew had a solid 30 min set and if you have a chance to see him anywhere this summer I strongly suggest making the effort.
NXNE 2015 – The Noisy Locomotive, The Wild Romantics, Birds of Bellwoods, Shawn William Clarke, Sarah Burton
Friday June 19th at The Cameron House
It was Birds of Bellwoods that brought us to The Cameron House on Friday night but once we arrived we were happy to stick around. We caught the very end of The Wild Romantics set and we were sad we hadn’t arrived in time to see all of the Friday acts. According to Birds of Bellwoods, The Noisy Locomotive were fantastic!
Jason Blaine raises $75000 with help from a few good friends!
When you are a celebrity and want to give back to your community there’s no better way than to gather up a few close friends and throw a party…and then invite the community to attend. Over the last two days, Jason Blaine did just that in Pembroke for the Second Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic and we were thrilled to have been part of it.
A Little Southern Style North of the Border with Darius Rucker & Friends
Darius Rucker brought some of country musics new pedigree to Toronto Saturday night with his Southern Style Tour hitting the Molson amphitheatre . With a line up this strong it was no surprise the place was rockin’ from start to finish.
Rodney DeCroo – Campfires on the Moon Canadian Tour
Vancouver singer/songwriter Rodney DeCroo is touring across Canada to promote his new album Campfires on the Moon. He played a stop last week at Toronto’s The Tennessee, and we were there to shoot a few pictures and take in his set.
Ontario Country Shines @ CMAO Awards
This past Monday night we were in Markham taking in one of Canada’s most celebrated Country Music nights. The 3rd annual CMAO Awards took place in Markham, Ontario. For those of you who haven’t been lucky enough to secure tickets to this outstanding event I would have to suggest buy early next year. This year’s line up was over the top with the likes of Tim Hicks, Autumn Hill, Deric Ruttan, Small Town Pistols and Jason Blaine to name a few.
