The Spice Factory in Hamilton was host to the album release of The Redhill Valleys on Tuesday, and it was completely sold out. There was a buzz of excitement among everyone in attendance, merch and cd’s were flying off of the table before any music even began. The trio of Danielle Beaudin, Chelsea McWilliams and Tim Allard have been polishing their sound for a little while now in the Hamilton/Toronto area and have gathered a lot of interest and anticipation towards their first album release. Well, the wait is over.
Hedley brings the party back to Ottawa OntariOH!
Hedley is one of those artists that I’ve listened to over the past few years, admittedly even cranked a few of their tunes in the car but never really paid that much attention to…that is until they blew the roof off of the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Saturday night.
Runaway Angel Kickin’ Up Dust In Toronto
Boots & Bourbon Saloon hosted the album release party for Runaway Angel on April 22nd and of course, it didn’t disappoint.
No Evil Ways, Santana was Pure Magic!
What an amazing treat it was Friday night to take in the Santana show at Casino Rama. We’re talking about one of music’s icons, and premiere guitarists. I felt very fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph and review this performance. Right from the opening bars of Soul Sacrifice, we were all captivated by the sweet and unmistakable sounds of Carlos Santana’s guitar playing. He has a tone and style like no other, and when he sauntered onto the stage, with his sparkling gold guitar and wearing his fedora, the jammed packed theatre rose up and greeted Carlos and his 10 piece band.
Project Mantra Rock Toronto Debut
By Chellsea Santini – Guest Reviewer, What turned out to be a cold, blustery, and snowy Sunday evening was no match for the fire burning inside The Central when Brockville/Ottawa folk punk band Project Mantra came to town.
Barrie, Ontari-OH! Say Hello to Hedley
Hedley took their HELLO tour to Barrie, Ontario Monday night playing to a capacity Molson Centre, and the fans adored every part of the show. The band had a great production, nice wide clean stage, with vivid lighting rig and video boards. The sound was so clean and clear – the band really set it up well. That’s what happens when a multi-platinum band tours across Canada. And this show is damn good.
Tebey has Somethin’ Brewin’
A couple weeks back we were invited to a hang with Tebey, Warner Music Canada and Road Angel Entertainment for a listening party for some of Tebey’s new music.
Terri Clark @ Casino Rama
Friday night saw Terri Clark return to Casino Rama after a 1 year hiatus. Terri had been playing the venue on a regular basis but didn’t manage to make it up to Orillia last year. I would have to say the heart grows fonder or maybe its the crowd that does, when they don’t get to see you as often. You could tell she was happy to be back in Ontario performing for a solid group of her Hat Brats (Fan Club Members).
Hedley Rocks Halifax…
Hedley brought the Hello World Tour to Halifax on Tuesday night and along with the band came new comer Francesco Yates and the always popular Carly Rae Jepsen. Our James Bennett was there to take some amazing images of the night. If you made it to the show we would love to hear what you thought.
S-cape Artist and Keaton heat up The Mansion
Kingston area hip hop performers Keaton and S-Cape Artist took turns stealing the show last Thursday night in Kingston at The Mansion. I know this because I was lucky enough to spend the evening with them, as they and local Brockville band Our Forgotten Memories supported my band Project Mantra at our Kingston CD Release Party.
