Canadian punk rockers PUP packed the Newport Music Hall full of rowdy fans ready to mosh and crowd surf last night in Columbus, Ohio.
Grandson Thrills Crowd At The Newport Music Hall
Canadian-American Jordan Edward Benjamin is the singer, songwriter and musician known as grandson, currently on the road for his “Death Of A Tour 2022”.
A little background info – grandson released his major label debut EP, A Modern Tragedy Vol. 1, in 2018 with Fueled By Ramen, and released the follow-up A Modern Tragedy Vol. 2 in 2019. In December of 2020, he released his debut studio album Death Of An Optimist.
The stop in Columbus, Ohio at The Newport Music Hall was nearly sold out, with the line to enter the venue at least a block and a half long. One of the opening acts bowed out due to illness so Royal & the Serpent went on early and really ramped up the energy in the venue. The crowd totally enjoyed her set! Check out the review and pics HERE.
Royal & The Serpent at Newport Music Hall
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Ryan Santiago is Royal & The Serpent and her career has been one continuous viral rise since her start in 2017 with the independent release of “Temperance” followed by “Together” in 2018. She signed with Atlantic Records at the end of 2019, releasing “Overwhelmed” as her first single for the label in June 2020. The single spent 22 weeks on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart and is now RIAA- certified gold.
Her most recent EP IF I DIED WOULD ANYONE CARE, released in January of this year, features the singles “PHUCKBOI REJECTS” and “I’M NOT SORRY” as well as four brand new tracks.

Tennyson King wrapping up his nationwide tour in Ontario
Nomadic indie-folk musician, Tennyson King, has been travelling across Canada tour in support of his recently released album, Good Company.
“I am so excited to get back on the road and start sharing my music to people in real life,” says Tennyson about his cross Canada tour. “Along with the excitement there are some nerves too as I’ve been grounded for almost two years, so it will take a little adjustment to be moving from town to town playing shows again. I think bringing music back into the world is important not only for me but for everyone right now. We all need to start feeling the sense of community, joy and human connection that has been missing.”
