A little bit of country and a lot of rock and roll define day 2 of Ottawa Bluesfest
Although a chance of thunderstorms threatened event goers all night on Friday any storms that popped up stayed far enough away from the festival grounds to prevent a repeat of opening night. Cage the Elephant Rocks the Stage
Before this show, I only knew Cage the Elephant for their song “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked”. However, when I had to sign a waiver and attend a safety meeting with their Head of Security, I knew the show was going to be extraordinary. Cage the Elephant brought their electrifying energy to the stage on June 28th, and fans at Rogers Place were treated to a spectacular performance. Known for their raw and unfiltered sound, the band delivered a set with the entire crowd on their feet from start to finish. I was completely blown away and left that show being a huge fan of their music, stage presence, and true craftsmanship.

This was a day and (hockey game) to remember!
