Rocktober in full swing in Ottawa
Country Takeover at the Norfolk County Fair
Growing up in Norfolk County fall has easily become my favourite time of year, and when October rolls around my countdown for the Norfolk County Fair starts. As a child and teen I grew up going to the fair every Tuesday for Young Canada Day and cheering on my respective schools. My very first concert was Charlie Major at the fair when I was a kid. So this year having the opportunity to photograph some of my favourite country artists at a fair that I hold so near and dear to my heart was one I’ll never forget.

Emotions run high for Eric Church as he debuts “Why Not Me” at the Opry
The events from last Sunday night in Las Vegas have left deep scars in many in the country music family. Eric Church performed a week ago last night on the same stage at Route 91. Just days later Church performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville where he spoke, very emotionally, about how he felt that Friday night and then how he felt on Sunday night as news spread of the tragedy that befell the festival on it’s closing night.
Pixies Bring Fire and Nostalgia to Canadian Dates, Current Tour
Meeting the Pixies is not something I ever expected would happen to me. Meeting them and entertaining full conversations with them was something I could not fathom. Legends in their own footprints, the art rock noise band brought a familiar set of material to the stage on last week in Montreal at MTELUS.
Against Me’s Laura Jane Grace Doesn’t Hold Back, Band Returns to Canada This Weekend.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to sit down and have a no-holds-barred telephone conversation with Against Me! Front-woman Laura Jane Grace, who had been touring North America with arena-rock band Green Day, but still found time to chat while filling time before a show in Arkansas. For those unfamiliar with Laura, she is an openly transgender singer/songwriter, social activist, punk rocker, and author. She has appeared on such programs as The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, and taken some very direct stands against the Trump administration (including some choice Twitter comments just last week about the Tweeter-In-Chief’s activity since the mass flooding in Puerto Rico).
