The Long War made its tour stop on April 25/18 at Batstone’s Northern Ramble in Renfrew, ON bringing their debut full-length album release “Landscapes”. The Long War were the winners of the 2017 CBC Searchlight competition and this would be their next step in a highly anticipated performance.

The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival returns June 21 to 24 for its 25th Anniversary. Highlighting this milestone are free concerts from Sam Roberts Band (21st), Broken Social Scene (22nd), Wintersleep and Hollerado (23rd), and Matt Mays (24th).

It might have been cold outside but inside the Dow’s Lake Pavilion at the Ice Dragon Boat Festival the musical talents were the perfect remedy to warm you up. The perfect location for an up-close-and-personal venue of great music. This event seems to get more and more popular year after year. Once again Ottawa nailed it.

Confession is Good for the Soul
We last caught up with Floridian indie rockers Dashboard Confessional at MacEwen Hall last month in Calgary where they were in town promoting their long anticipated album Crooked Shadows. Last night they visited the Bronson Centre in the nation’s capital city and were preceded by Montreal songstress Gabrielle Shonk and Keswick ON (north of Toronto – I had to look it up too) natives The Elwins.
