Remember the 90’s? How about the 80’s? Remember the amazing music we used to listen to on our Sony Walkmans? Well over the course of the next month, or so, TD Place in Ottawa is going to take you on a journey back to the good ol’ days of the 80’s and 90’s.
Headstones are coming to Ottawa in November
Hot on the heels of a kick ass show by Disturbed with Nothing More and Chevelle at TD Place in Ottawa comes another rock announcement that will certainly keep your heads banging. Canadian rockers the Headstones will roll into Barrymore’s in Ottawa on November 25.
Disturbed brings Mega Rock show to TD Place
The crowds came out enmass to TD Place on Wednesday night but it wasn’t to cheer for the RedBlacks or the Ottawa 67s it was to pump their fists in the air, slam into each other in the mosh pits and scream at the top of their lungs all night long as Disturbed rocked Ottawa, their second of only two Canadian stops on their current world tour (the first was the night before in Quebec City).
HOT Mid Summer Festival Recap…
So it has been a red hot summer thus far in terms of Festivals we have covered since June 1st. Not just hot shows but the weather has been smokin’ for most of them. I though I might take a shot at a mid summer festival recap and just do a quick review on where we have been so far in this jam filled summer of 2016.
City and Colour closes out record breaking 2016 RBC Bluesfest
After 8 amazing days of music, Sunday was the grand finale of one of the biggest years for RBC Bluesfest in its 22 year history.
Rock the Park, The Rest of the Story…
After two epic nights of country, Rock the Park shifted gears in Downtown London’s Harris Park. New for 2016 was Virgin Fest 2016, sponsored by 97.5 Virgin Radio, in London. Now, I need to be honest here and say this night’s line up was not one I was really keen on. The line up included local performer, Ria Mae, Canadian rapper Classified, Nelly, and Flo Rida. As a guy who listens to mainly country music and some rock thrown in there, this was bound to be an interesting night.
Week 2 RBC Bluesfest brings huge crowds, rain or shine!
It’s hard to believe we’re already coming to an end of the 2016 edition of RBC Bluesfest. It feels like just yesterday that the lineup was announced and yet here we are going into the final day!
Sun shines on Country Music and a new Pop sensation RBC Bluesfest day 4!
After two days of damp weather and a questionable (weather wise) start to the day California pop starlets Bahari brought the sun back to RBC Bluesfest on Sunday.
Rain hits RBC Bluesfest but doesn’t dampen spirits on first weekend!
It wouldn’t be RBC Bluesfest, or any outdoor festival, if rain didn’t factor into the equation for at least a day or two of the event. But, to me anyway, that’s what makes it all the more special and memorable.
It was a nice day to start again! RBC Bluesfest Day 1
Last night a few thousand dancers came dancing to Lebreton Flats, RBC Bluesfest had been away for so long, so long, but it was a nice day to start again!
