The lighting was stellar, the sound was amazing and the performance was no less than what you would expect from someone as big as Tom Cochrane and his Mad Mad World Tour. Even the opening act, Meghan Patrick was most welcoming.

I’ve always had a passion for discovering new artists and helping get their music heard. In the music industry today it’s very difficult for new artists to make their mark and get traction. Since founding Sound Check Entertainment we’ve prided ourselves in seeking out and promoting new artists. I’ve never purchased membership in a fan club in my life but when it was announced that Eric Church was coming back to Ottawa and the best way to guarantee great seats was to become a member of his Church Choir fan club, that’s exactly what I did. On Friday night, the show we had been anticipating since that day in September, finally arrived and we would not be let down.

Mattawa Voyageur Days celebrates 20 years with “Classic Rewind” for 2017 Festival
In 1998 a new festival made it’s debut at Explorer’s Point in Mattawa where the three rivers meet. The inaugural Mattawa Voyageur Days Festival featured a lineup made up of Wild Ones (Youth), Headpins, Toronto, Trooper and Barney (Children’s). This summer fans can relive the summer of 1998 as organizers roll back the clock 20 years and present a “Classic Rewind”.
