So with a little more investigative research it looks like the Sweet Home Alabama hit makers Lynyrd Skynyrd are heading to Canada this summer and will be joining the RBC Ottawa Bluesfest line up on July 14th. I first saw Meghan Patrick at Boots & Hearts in 2013. She was fronting The Stone Sparrows, a local Bowmanville act, and the second she opened her mouth she had my attention. MacKenzie Porter almost ready to take off
Show business is nothing new to, 21 year old, MacKenzie Porter who grew up on a cattle and bison ranch near Medicine Hat,Alberta. At the ripe age of four she started studying piano, violin and voice. She’s spent time on the road touring with a family band as well as with her brother, whose name you might recognize as 2004 Canadian Idol Winner, Kalan Porter. But she doesn’t just stop there. MacKenzie is also an aspiring actress having numerous film and television roles under her belt including the role of Courtney in the Television series “Dinosapien”.
