So the folks down at Peller Estate Winery played host to a little Shindig a couple Saturday night’s back and we managed to get ourselves into such a great event. We want to thank Jason Blaine and his team for having us in to cover the event and a big thanks to Patrice Whiffen and her team for putting it on. Best of Canadian Country Music Celebrated in Halifax
The Maritimes went country over the last few days as the best of the best of Canadian country music invaded Halifax. The party started early in the week with numerous showcase events put on by various labels and agencies to help showcase their stars and rising stars and it all was capped off with the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, the final of which was held last night at the Scotiabank Centre and aired on CBC Television.

Let me start by saying, it was a hot one Sunday night at the CNE! With temps hitting the 30’s you might expect the bands to take it easy. Not so! Cold Creek County came out and gave it their all getting the crowd “warmed” up for Dallas Smith.
Mason Jar Sessions – Blackjack Billy
The boys of Blackjack Billy had recorded two songs for us while at Boots and Hearts this year. We were holding one back for a special occasion. It’s the long weekend and well the boys of BJB are pretty good friends with our buddy Tim Hicks. And seeing Tim released 5:01+ today we thought this was the day. Kick back crank it up cause we “Got A Feeling” this is going to be one wicked weekend to wrap up one hell of a summer. Cheers!
