It is officially the eve of the announcement of one of the most anticipated festival lineups in Ottawa, Ontario…heck maybe even Canada. The 2016 Ottawa Bluesfest Lineup will officially be announced tomorrow morning.
Chattin’ with George Canyon…
George Canyon is currently makin’ his way across Canada on his Jekyll & Nothing to Hide Tour.
Corey had a chance to chat with George on Friday about how the tour is going and the success of the current album I Got This.
Brian Davis – Here Lately – Mason Jar Session
We had a chance to have singer / songwriter Brian Davis perform a couple cuts for the Mason Jar Sessions while he was up in Canada on the Blackout Tour with long time writing partner Brantley Gilbert. Here is the first cut from his recently released Stripped Down & Turned Up album, which by the way if you don’t own already you really should it’s fantastic. Crank this one up!
Kansas Stone – Mason Jar Session – Country Queen
We had a chance to sit down with the fellas from Kansas Stone for a Mason Jar Session. The boys are just about to release a new single to Country Radio. But before that happens here is the first cut from our session. Country Queen. Crank it up…
Corey’s Barn Burners – Feb 19th
So I thought I would start a new FRIDAY tradition where I post 2 or 3 of what I would recommend everyone hear / download / obsess about over the next week. There is so much GREAT music out there and with a lot of it not making its way to terrestrial radio I thought this just might be a perfect opportunity to introduce some of you to some new artists / music. So here is my inaugural post… And these four songs are currently on heavy rotation on my stereo…
Hangin’ with Lindsay Ell
So a couple weeks back I had the chance to sit with Canadian born, Nashville living Lindsay Ell just before she kicked off the CMT Women of Country tour in Orillia. We had a lot to talk about so here it is. And huge thanks to Lindsay for taking the time for both a killer Mason Jar Session and fantastic hang.

Corb Lund in London…
Canada may have lost a music icon in Stompin’ Tom Conners, however, it doesn’t take long to find someone carrying on the honky tonk tradition of Americana style country music. Corb Lund, a true blooded Alberta boy, brought his Winter Campaign for the “Things That Can’t Be Undone” tour to The London Music Hall on Monday Feb 15, 2016, in London ON.
Final Canadian Stop Of Blackout Tour Was Lights Out….
Saturday night in London may have been a whiteout with a storm kickin’ around a pile of snow outside but inside Bud Gardens the place was on fire. Brantley Gilbert brought his Blackout tour to town and some of his buddies tagged along for the ride. Brian Davis, Michael Ray and Canaan Smith rounded out one rockin’ night of Country music to the RBC Theatre at Bud Gardens.
