Kelowna rockers The Wild! have just released their second album Wild At Heart in February, and are heading out on a two month long tour this summer. The tour consist of ten Canadian dates with Pennsylvania band CKY as well as 27 shows across the U.S. with the heavy metal super group Adrenaline Mob.

When four teenagers from Cornwall decided to start a rock band in the late eighties, they never imagined the success their band, the Barstool Prophets, would gain in North America just a few years later.

Prozzäk is back with a new album and tour. You can catch the duo when they take over the Algonquin Commons Theatre tomorrow night at 8pm.

I’ve always had a passion for discovering new artists and helping get their music heard. In the music industry today it’s very difficult for new artists to make their mark and get traction. Since founding Sound Check Entertainment we’ve prided ourselves in seeking out and promoting new artists. Just some of the artists we told you about first, and continue to promote, include Meghan Patrick, Abby Stewart, Cory Marquardt and Midnight Shine to name just a few. Today we’d like to introduce to you Morgan Leigh Garner and Courtney Dashe aka Hadley Park.

I had the pleasure of chatting with Joel Plaskett this week about “Solidarity”, his latest solo release, but this ones a little different, it’s with his father Bill Plaskett, and it is a wonderful musical tapestry that spans the generations.

Let’s start this off with a quick phone conference I had with The Once band members, Geraldine Hollett, Phil Churchill and Andrew Dale the night before their show.

Lisa Loeb calls me from Tillsonburg, Ontario on February 16^th, where she is starting her three-stop Ontario tour.

Project Mantra, fronted by our own Leigh Bursey, has had a busy year in 2016. They released their first music video, first album, had a single played on CBC Radio and went on tour. We sat down with Leigh to talk about their year and their plans for the year ahead.

So last Saturday night we had a chance to spend some time backstage with the talented Meghan Patrick.  Meghan was the opening slot in Oshawa (darn close to her hometown of Bowmanville) on Kip Moore’s Me & My Kind Tour.   

So this week I had the chance to head down the QEW to Niagara Falls to hang with Tim Hicks in his Stompin Ground.  We took to the mound at Oakes Park to chat about his current album Shake Theses Walls.
