I had a chance to sit down and chat with Canadian Country Music Icon Terri Clark last week on the heels of her big cross Canada tour announcement “Back To My Roots”. We had a chance to discuss what was going to be special about this tour and why she thought it was time for a tour like this. Terri also cut a few songs for our Mason Jar Sessions and tomorrow we will release the 1st tune. We had a chance to chat with Sony Music Canada recording artist and 12x CCMA Winner Gord Bamford about his upcoming album Tin Roof. Gord is also about to embark on a cross Canada tour with label mate Joe Nichols starting April 7th so we talked a little about that to. Here is our conversation.

Introducing Danielle Marie
2015 was a big year for Danielle Marie, a young starlet, from western Canada, a CCMA Spotlight Performance at the Canadian Country Music Fan favourite Legends Show in Halifax, 4 BC Country Music Award Nominations, the 2015 BCCMA Ray McAuley Horizon Award and a radio tour throughout three provinces. Plus Danielle’s sophomore album Here Right Now broke the Top 25 iTunes Country Album Chart within 24 hours of release and her current single at radio, ‘Drive Away’, co-written with award winning Nashville writer Byron Hill, is proving to be her biggest yet and recently debuted on the Canadian Country Trax report currently at #74!

When you think of Eastern Tennessee you definitely wouldn’t think spunky hillbilly that has more talent in her baby toe than a lot of the current folks being played on the radio these days. Oh and did I mention beautiful and a sassy sense of humour to? I had the chance to sit down and chat with the feisty but very sweet Tara Thompson when she rolled through Toronto last month on the CMT Next Women of Country tour that stopped in at Casinorama for a great night of music.
