It was a beauty of a day in London, Ontario when we had a chance to catch up with Chris Lane and chat about the success of FIX (Currently in the top 10 in both Canada & The US) as well as his new album. Check out my chat with Chis below.
Introducing Kelsi Mayne
Proud Windsor, ON native, Kelsi Mayne is a Canadian Country Music singer-songwriter, 2016 FACTOR grant recipient, and Top 7 Finalist in the upcoming Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. With an award-winning journalist as father and an acclaimed sculptor/muralist as a mother, Kelsi was constantly surrounded and influenced by a world of art. She developed her performing skills early on, competing on the Canada-U.S. Highland Dancing circuit. Soon she made moves to become a vocalist and began to achieve success in several talent competitions – once winning the opportunity to open for the Neverending White Lights when she was just 16 years old.
Hangin’ with Dan + Shay
Dan + Shay dropped their new album Obsessed last Friday. I had a chance to catch up with them last week while they were in Toronto on a promo tour. The last time the boys were in town was when they played The Mod Club with Canaan Smith back in April of 2015. I can remember that show and thinking there may have been 10 guys in the sold out club that night. Fast forward 13 months and the they a new album and a boat load of summer festival dates lined up.

Hangin’ with Jessica Mitchell
A couple weeks back I had the chance to sit down and chat with the incredible Jessica Mitchell. We talked about her new EP Hold Onto The Light and what it was like finally putting out the EP after all the hard work over the last couple years. Check it out. And be sure to grab Hold Onto The Light it might be the best 4.99 you spend this week.
In Conversation with Hugh Dillon
I had a chance to chat with, in my personal opinion, one of the very best frontmen of any rock act in the 90’s and likely even to date in Canada. Hugh Dillon was leader of the fist pumpin’, beer chuggin’ & hard rockin’ crowds in the 90’s right across Canada for the band, Headstones. The band took a brief hiatus to regain some steam and hit the ground running for their second lap 5 or 6 years back. If you don’t know who the Headstones are keep reading; you’re about to get educated. And if you do, keep reading. Hugh gives one hell of a interview. As a general disclaimer, this is a conversation more than an interview, because Hugh is someone you talk with, not to.
Q & A with Yoan…
We had a chance to ask Yoan a few questions about what he has been up to since we last spoke and how life has changed over the last year or so.
Hangin’ With Thomas Rhett
Yesterday we had a chance to hang out with Thomas Rhett to discuss what it was like playing Boots and Hearts last summer. We also chatted about who inspires him and we may have asked what social media outlet he likes to use most. Check it out below.
Chatting with Honeymoon Suite’s Derry Grehan
I had a chance to chat with Honeymoon Suites Derry Grehan a week or so before they hit the stage in Hamilton & Mississauga this week.
Hangin’ with Meghan Patrick
It was about a year ago that I witnessed the talent of Meghan Patrick LIVE during Canadian Music Week at the Supermarket. Small intimate show with about 50 ppl in attendance or so. Today, Meghan releases her debut album Grace & Grit through Warner Music Canada. I had a chance to catch up with Meghan earlier this week to chat a bit about the album. Here is that conversation.
