Republic Live, producers of WayHome Music & Arts have announced that the 2018 edition will be put on hold.
“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to push pause on the 2018 edition, to allow us to reflect, re-assess and re-imagine the event,” says Eva Dunford, co-founder / partner, Republic Live. “We want to thank all of our fans, artists, staff, vendors, sponsors, suppliers, partners, and community members. We sincerely appreciate your support and participation over the last three years to create a truly special festival.”
Republic Live looks forward to producing a series of concerts and events throughout the summer of 2018, and will continue to expand on the functionality of the privately owned Burl’s Creek Event Grounds venue.

The three-day music and arts festival held at the custom-designed camping festival grounds, Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, hosted the third edition this past summer. In WayHome’s inaugural year, the festival featured headliners Neil Young, Sam Smith and Kendrick Lamar. In its second year, in 2016, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire and The Killers performed for over 35 thousand music fans. The 2017 edition presented stand out performances by Frank Ocean, Solange, Imagine Dragons and Flume. The festival offered multiple stages, a variety of late-night spectacles and experiences, international and local cuisine, an on-site locally produced farmers market and original art installations. WayHome Music and Arts was recently awarded the Live Music Industry Award for major festival of the year in 2017, as well as the New Kid on the Block (Best New Festival) award and was nominated for Major Festival of the Year at the 2016 Canadian Music Awards.
