NOFX is an iconic American punk rock band that has significantly impacted the punk scene since its formation in 1983. The band was founded in Los Angeles, California, by vocalist and bassist Michael Burkett, better known as Fat Mike, and guitarist Eric Melvin. They were later joined by drummer Erik “Smelly” Sandin and guitarist Aaron “El Hefe” Abeyta, solidifying the lineup that would carry them through their careers.

Old friend and Van Halen band mate Michael Anthony played the powerful bass and sang a Van Halen classic, Jason Bonham pounded the drums just like his father did in Led Zeppelin and rounding up the all-star group was guitar wizard Joe Satriani, who stands alone in instrumental guitar music.

TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL, A NOSTALGIC FLASHBACK TO THE 1980’S HITS
On Tuesday, July 23, Montrealer’s were transported back to the 1980s at the Totally Tubular Festival, held at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. The event featured an extraordinary lineup of iconic bands. Despite the short sets from the eight bands, the crowd sang along passionately to the hits, making it a fun and nostalgic experience.

Beryl dampens the grounds but show goes on as Zac Brown Band returns to Ottawa Bluesfest
The remnants of Hurricane Beryl did a number of the grounds at Ottawa Bluesfest as it entered day 6 causing a slight delay in the venue opening. But mud and threats of more rain only had minor impacts on the crowd and did little to dampen spirits of festival goers in Canada’s capital.
