Progressive rock group Big Wreck take the stage at TD Place to help the Ottawa Redblacks celebrate their 10th year being in the CFL while taking on the Hamilton Tiger Cats.
The legend rockers hit the stage for not one but two sets! They first come on stage ahead of the game for a pre show and help set the tone for the night and get the people going and as well those making their way to their seats.
As half time starts and the teams head to the locker rooms and the sun is setting over TD place and the stadium lights are now getting brighter, Big Wreck hits the stage again to now a much bigger crowd waiting for the band to continue rocking the stadium.
The band opens the second show with one of their biggest fan favorites That Song and as you expect the crowd erupts!
Lead singer Thornley’s voice was in top form, transitioning from gritty, powerful verses to the soulful and melodic choruses. The whole put on an amazing show delivering high energy and hype you want while celebrating such a huge moment for the Ottawa Redblacks.
It is safe to say that Big Wreck brought the noise and the energy the fans needed to give back to the band and as well the team. The Ottawa Redblacks clawed backs against the Hamilton Tiger Cats with a nail biter finish to win the game!
