Saturday, January 20, 2024, On a cold winter night in the heart of downtown Montreal, Beartooth took the stage at MTELUS for a sold-out show that left the crowd buzzing with energy.
The opening act, Sleep Theory, took the stage at 6:30 PM, starting off with the song “Fallout.” Their energetic set had the crowd immediately engaged, with the hooky chorus of “Stuck in my head” getting everyone moving and hands in the air. Lead vocalist Cullen showcased his impressive voice, and the band’s accessible and likable sound kept the energy high. They concluded their set with the fan-favorite “Another Way,” released a year ago.

At 7:15 PM, Invent Animate took the foor, blasting an intense intro through the stereos. The crowd went wild as crowd surfers in bananas and unicorn costumes soared above them during the third song, “Heavener.”
The band seamlessly transitioned from angelic falsetto vocals to metalcore screaming, showcasing their versatility.
Drummer Brody delivered an outstanding performance, while the contrast between heavy and melodic elements created a beautiful sonic experience.
The set ended with an intense mosh pit during “Immolation of Night,” leaving the audience in awe of their massive sound.
Sharp at 8:00 PM, The Plot In You kicked off their set with an intro of “Country Roads,” which had the entire crowd singing along and laughing.

Shomo is a whole package and one of the most captivating frontmen I’ve seen in a long time.
Showcasing his captivating stage presence and commanding vocals. His conviction and energy were palpable, leaving a lasting impression on the crowd.
A standout moment was when, midway through the set, Caleb with his acoustic guitarist performed an intimate rendition of The Killers “Mr. Brightside” and their original song “Look The Other Way” on a tiny stage in the center of the arena. It was a special and unexpected experience that the fans truly enjoyed.
The band’s drummer, Alex Bent, showcased his tight and steady beats throughout the set.
Beartooth’s setlist was a perfect mix of heavy-hitting tunes like “Bad Listener,” “Disease,” and “Hated,” as well as more melodic tracks like “I Was Alive” and “The Better Me.”
The encores, “Riptide” and “In Between,” brought the show to a thrilling conclusion, leaving the crowd wanting more.
