Cool temperatures and wet weather couldn’t stop a good time at Cavendish Beach Music Festival 2016!

Last Wednesday & Thursday London became the Country Music Mecha for 2 days.  #RTP2016 – Gone Country brought some of Country musics biggest names such at Brad Paisley, Jake Owen, Dallas Smith & Tim Hicks to Harris Park in downtown London, Ontario.

So Miranda Lambert has a new single and it has a really cool ass groove.   This one just hit the airwaves this week.   With the sweet sound of the record player skipping in as the song begins Miranda’s fantastic voice resinates over the speakers with a power that draws you closer.  When the instruments kick in it brings even more dynamic to the song.   

So we had a chance to catch up with the boys in Old Dominion this past week at Rock The Park  / Gone Country in London. It’s been awhile since we last chatted and  we would normally have video on this but unfortunately we seemed to have a few technical issues and got the audio only.   

Country, country, and more country! That was the order of the day on Thursday when Toby Keith’s Interstates and Tailgates Tour rolled into Toronto.

Chad Brownlee has just released his video for his latest crowd & chart pleaser I Hate You For It.  Another solid video by Stephano Barberis.  Chad has worked with Mr. Barberis on a few occasions now with his previous single Hearts On Fire was also done with Staphano.  Check out this “cheeky” video for a killer cut.  

Canaan Country Music Festival already preparing for Second Year!

In what has been an amazingly busy week of concert and festival coverage here at Sound Check Entertainment, we kept the crazy going by flying up Highway 400 to Muskoka on Saturday night. Tim Hicks returned to The KEE to Bala for his annual Summer Throwdown and man, it was CRAZY! This was a SOLD OUT show and, seriously, you could barely move within the cozy confines of The KEE.

I had a chance to hang out with the fellas in The Washboard Union last weekend while we were at CMT Music Fest.  We chatted about the new single Shot of Glory as well as the the multiple dates they have this summer playing festivals across Canada.  Check it out below.

So CMT Canada / Corus Entertainment jumped into the world of Festivals this past weekend full force with CMT Music Fest.  The inaugural event took place in Kitchener,home of the OHL Kitchener Rangers and then venue in which the big party was taking place Bingamens.   For those of you that haven’t been lucky enough to attend Octoberfest in the KW area Bingamans has hosted some pretty epic parties in the past.   Maybe not to this scale but this one was BIG.
