Dallas Smith has just recently released a new album titled Side Effects.  I had a chance to sit down with Dallas while he was in Toronto to chat about the album.  Huge thanks to Corus for letting us the fantastic space to do the interview.   And don’t miss Dallas at the Norfolk County Fair on October 7th.   Or if you are in the mood for a road trip to Halifax for New Years Eve it will be one heck of a party!

So here at Sound Check Entertainment we decided it was time to step out of our normal coverage again and cover something a little different for you, our loyal fans. And boy did we step out of the box!

So we had the chance to catch up with Daron & Dennis of Two Shine County while they were in Ontario earlier this month during the CCMA’s.   The fellas have worked hard over the last couple years and were part of the CCMA Discovery program this year.   We caught up with the boys at the Strut Social House during the week.  Check out a fun interview along with the boys cranking out a great Mason Jar Session.

The dust has finally settled and I almost feel back to normal.  The week long CCMA Hangover has subsided and we have managed to put together some amazing photos from the night.   Both Bill and James did a fantastic job of capturing the nights moments.   Let’s kick things off with what James captured.

The names Bob & Clint Moffatt may ring a bell from the 90’s.  They were 2 of the members of the Canadian group The Moffatt’s well 20 years has almost passed and Bob & Clint have a new project called Endless Summer and they are pretty damn remarkable.   I had a chance to sit down and chat with the boys after they nailed a killer Mason Jar Session.  Check out the Interview & Session below!

Well after spending 3 days hunkered down in what might be the best city in Canada for Country Music we have a little something to share.   We have the 2nd of our CCMA posts with some great shots of the John Deere Green Carpet.  This was our first year having a presence on the carpet with Corey getting a chance to chat with the artists as they walked in.  Be sure to check our video of Corey chatting with everyone HERE.     However, Bill and James were also able to grab some amazing images of the artists making there way into Bud Gardens in London, Ontario.

On Sunday afternoon before some of Canada’s most talented Country Musicians walked the John Deere Green Carpet the folks at the Canadian Country Music Association thought they would throw a little party.  With some of the amazing talent take the stage for a FREE concert from 3-5.  And this line up was stacked.  With performances from The Lovelocks, Lindsay Ell, Wes Mack, River Town Saints, The Washboard Union and Bobby Wills.

So I was holding on to this one because Madeline will be performing THIS SUNDAY night at the CCMA Awards in London.  We had a chance to chat about her album, summer festivals and the love hate relationship with social media.  Check it out!  

You would’ve thought it was a hot mid summer night with the energy at The Danforth Music Hall on Wednesday night. A sea of Daisy Dukes and plaid on the dance floor, people arrived ready to party country music style.
