A couple weeks back we were invited to a hang with Tebey, Warner Music Canada and Road Angel Entertainment for a listening party for some of Tebey’s new music.   

Friday night saw Terri Clark return to Casino Rama after a 1 year hiatus.   Terri had been playing the venue on a regular basis but didn’t manage to make it up to Orillia last year.  I would have to say the heart grows fonder or maybe its the crowd that does, when they don’t get to see you as often.  You could tell she was happy to be back in Ontario performing for a solid group of her Hat Brats (Fan Club Members).

This isn’t a big commercial song for Chad Brownlee, but I can tell you it is one very special song.  Listen to the lyrics and the story that this one tells.  Don’t forget that you can pre order Chads new album Hearts On Fire now.  With a release date of April 29th you will get 2 songs right away when you pre-order.  

Next Up on the “Brownlee Bonanza” Carried Away This one was released back in 2011 when Chad had already had a few singles under his belt.   With his new album Hearts On Fire hitting shelves April 29th its hard to believe its been 5 years since this one.   Good music lasts forever they say… 

We thought in order to celebrate Chad Brownlee’s upcoming Hearts On Fire album release (April 29th) we would kick the 2 week countdown off with one of his classic videos Day After You.  Over the next couple weeks we be posting interviews, exclusive content and a new Mason Jar Session.   More to come!

Hedley brought the Hello World Tour to Halifax on Tuesday night and along with the band came new comer Francesco Yates and the always popular Carly Rae Jepsen.  Our James Bennett was there to take some amazing images of the night.  If you made it to the show we would love to hear what you thought.

Hard to believe we are only 4.5 months away from the Canadian Country Music Association Awards show in London, Ontario.  But hold your horses,  They have so much more coming to London before we can even talk about September.

Lets keep this one simple.  I love Country Music!  I really do.  And this morning waking up to the CMAO 2016 Award Nominations was kind of like a kid at Christmas.  As my eyes read through and processed this years nominations I couldn’t help but wonder.  Who will be the BIG Winners next month at the Awards Ceremonies in Markham? Here is the list of Nominations.

Back on a chilly night at the end of January, I was lucky  to be one of maybe 100 people to sit in on a taping of, “The Drop”, on CMT. This night was all about Gord Bamford’s upcoming release, “Tin Roof”.

After the small crowd shuffled into the historic Aeolian Hall, in London, it was time to get rolling.  Jesse Mast warmed up the crowd with a couple of tunes. He is going to be someone to watch this coming year with his recent release to radio of, “Bad Blood”.  You won’t want to miss him on the Certified Country Tour this summer with Gord Bamford and Joe Nichols.

With a quick run down on what was going to happen from the show’s director, producers, and the crew from CMT, it was time for all of us in the intimate crowd to put on our TV faces and get ready to be a star. Wait, who am I kidding, the real star was Gord Bamford.

Without giving too much away of what happened that night, because we want you to catch the show, let’s just say you won’t be disappointed.  (LINK TO WATCH ONLINE HERE)

Gord and his band were very engaging with the small crowd, having a few chats here and there, along with playing a couple of requests. There was a moment where he asked the crowd what his next single should be. All I will say about that is the song I chose didn’t make it, however, I think closer to summer he will be releasing a cottage and camping anthem, which will includes two of my favorite things, breakfast and beer.

After about an hour, the director yelled out the famous words, “that’s a wrap!”, and now it was time for Gord and his band to have a little fun for the small crowd that was there. We got to hear some classic Gord Bamford songs, and it felt like we got to let loose and enjoy the evening. There was a great rendition of, “Don’t Stop Believing”, by Lisa Dobbs, who plays bass in Gord’s band. The band was rocking and having a good time.

The night had to come to an end, however, but not without Gord spending a few minutes signing some autographs and taking a few photos with the fans who were lucky enough to score a spot on the guest list that night.
