A couple weeks back we had the chance to catch up with Jordan McIntosh for a chat and a couple cuts for our Mason Jar Session at the Rockin’ Horse Saloon in Toronto.  We will have our chat with Jordon coming up tomorrow but we thought we would grab your attention with this killer acoustic performance of Steal Your Heart.  Jordan’s current single of his debut album.

The Spice Factory in Hamilton was host to the album release of The Redhill Valleys on Tuesday, and it was completely sold out. There was a buzz of excitement among everyone in attendance, merch and cd’s were flying off of the table before any music even began. The trio of Danielle Beaudin, Chelsea McWilliams and Tim Allard have been polishing their sound for a little while now in the Hamilton/Toronto area and have gathered a lot of interest and anticipation towards their first album release. Well, the wait is over.

So the Sound of Music Festival in Burlington, Ontario announced the line up to the biggest FREE Music Festival in Canada.

It was about a year ago that I witnessed the talent of Meghan Patrick LIVE during Canadian Music Week at the Supermarket.  Small intimate show with about 50 ppl in attendance or so.   Today, Meghan releases her debut album Grace & Grit through Warner Music Canada.   I had a chance to catch up with Meghan earlier this week to chat a bit about the album.   Here is that conversation. 

So Florida Georgia Line just released their new single.  And in typical FGL fashion… Have NAILED IT.   Big fan of these boys and this song again just shows how good these boys are.   H.O.L.Y.  is the 1st single off the soon to be released Dig Your Roots Album.

This weeks Barn Burners wasn’t easy.   With so much new music hitting the shelves and your favourite online music store it was tough to pick my favourites that I have been listening to this week.  This one might have a bit of a theme with the titles 2 out of 3 have Kiss in them.   Let me know what you think and be sure to follow me over on Instagram.

Over the last couple years I have been able to take in a few of the shows that happen during Canadian Music Week.   This year is no different.   We have plans to take in at least 8 or 9 of the shows happening over the 7 days in May (May 2-8) in various venues across Toronto.    Lets start off with a little about CMW.

We had a chance to sit down and chat with Terri Clark last week and just before our chat Terri cranked out a couple songs for a Mason Jar Session.  We thought we would share this one first.  Northern Girl is such a great song and to hear it sung stripped down and acoustic was just amazing.   And to think that Terri is going to be doing a whole cross Canada tour with just her and her guitars (and maybe a loop pedal) but heck this is one hell of a performance by one of Canada’s BIGGEST names in Country!  Enjoy
