It’s been a few years since Ottawa Bluesfest had a Tuesday show but this year they made an exception as they landed an artist that was just too big to pass up. That artist was, Jelly Roll, and last night was one of the most powerful, emotional and spiritual journeys I’ve ever been on at a concert.

Although a chance of thunderstorms threatened event goers all night on Friday any storms that popped up stayed far enough away from the festival grounds to prevent a repeat of opening night. A mix of country, blues and rock was on tap for festival goers on Friday night with Nickelback, Warren Zeiders and Noah Cyrus being three anticipated acts.
