The highly anticipated Trinity Of Terror Tour featuring Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White and Atreyu rolled into Columbus, Ohio on Friday night for a Sold Out show at Kemba Live! in Columbus, Ohio.
The venue was jam packed and tough to navigate early on due to the long merch lines. The line-up was simply amazing! This particular show was a part of Radio Station 99.7 The Blitz’s 30th Anniversary Concert Series. Popular Radio Personality Ronni Hunter went on to announce each band before they took to the stage and was greeted with cheers from the audience.
Atreyu performed first with a twelve song set which tapped heavily into their 2021 release Baptize, playing the title cut, “Strange Powers Of Prophecy”,”Save Us” and “Warrior.” Near the end of the set, Brandon Saller launched into Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” with the crowd encouraged to sing alternating lines with him. As if that wasn’t unexpected enough, Brandon threw in some dance moves and booty shaking that had the crowd roaring!
Next up onstage was Motionless In White. I have seen this band 3 times and their energy is next level. Plus they have a huge diehard fanbase which was evident by the fans in the front row wearing a lot of MIW gear. The band opened with “Disguise” followed by “Sign Of Life.” Then, not a full minute into “Slaughterhouse,” the crowd got Chris “Motionless” Cerulli’s attention and he immediately stopped the song to allow Security to attend to a fan in distress. He thanked the crowd for getting his attention and asked everyone if they were ok before starting the song over and resuming the show. They played quite a few tunes from their June release Scoring The End Of The World, including 3 released singles, “Cyberhex”, “Masterpiece” and “Slaughterhouse” plus “Sign Of Life.” They closed the set with fan favorite “Eternally Yours.”
Ice Nine Kills is known for their horror-themed theatrics and gruesome props including severed arms and heads, instruments of death and masks. It makes for quite a spectacle you can’t look away from! The set was a horrorcore feast for the metalcore fans in attendance, featuring songs “Funeral Derangements” ,”Stabbing In The Dark”. “Farewell II Flesh” ,”The American Nightmare” and others.
Closing out the night was Black Veil Brides. The band first formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio so it was especially cool to have them performing in Columbus for this leg of the Tour. It did not take long for the crowd to start chanting “Andy! Andy! Andy!” for frontman Andy Biersack after the lights went down. The band did not disappoint, opening with “Crimson Skies” and playing popular BVB tunes like “Knives and Pens”, “Fallen Angels”, “The Legacy” and closing the set with “In The End.”
Don’t miss out on this Tour as there are plenty of dates to catch this amazing show in your city!
