Live music has returned to Orleans, Ontario by way of a foot stompin’ performance by The Washboard Union with special guest Raquel Cole.
The Washboard Union band lead by David Roberts, Aaron Grain and Chris Duncombe made an appearance in Orleans on the fifth stop on their long awaited cross-Canada tour. The beautiful Shenkman Arts Centre welcomed the boys who are promoting their brand new album Everbound.
Raquel Cole from Vernon BC, by way of Nashville, opened the night. Her incredible songwriting skills and powerful vocals were on full display. This was especially evident when she belted out the award-winning “Imogene” much to the crowd’s delight.
Next up was the main attraction who started the show in the pitch dark, which intensified the anticipation. Smoke canons, kick ass stage lighting and some incredible talent soon followed. It was a great night of live music for many who have been robbed of this pleasure for far too long.
The band is in Kingston and the Grand Theatre tonight. Tickets are still available but don’t wait too long! Thanks to Warner Music Canada for having us out.
