After a great show in Ottawa, Tenille Townes’ next stop was her first show ever in Montreal. For this special night, local favourite and Tenille’s friend Brittany Kennel was the opening act.
The very dynamic duo was expected by very eager fans. Not sure what to expect from Montreal’s crowd, Tenille was greeted by an extremely enthusiastic audience. From the first song to the last, the crowd sang with the Albertan with all their heart. She really got emotional when people started requesting songs in her acoustic segment. From fan favorites to the most obscure and recent cuts, requests were met with astonishment and delight from the singer. Once again, Montrealers proved that they love Country as much as the rest of Canada.
The opening act was Beaconsfield native Brittany Kennel. The only Canadian singer to be on The Voice USA, Brittany offered acoustic renditions of songs from her first album, I Ain’t a Saint, as well as a few covers. On a funny note, she broke a guitar string early in the show, and finished her performance with one of Tenille Townes’ own guitars. Absolutely unphased by the little mishap, she remained her own smiling and joking self.
