Megadeth and Lamb Of God are co-headlining what has been billed as “The Metal Tour Of The Year” with support from Trivium and Hatebreed.
The show at Ruoff Music Center in Indianapolis was very well attended with the lawn area packed up with rowdy fans.
Metalcore Hatebreed from Bridgeport, Connecticut opened the show. They released their eighth studio album Weight Of The False Self on Nuclear Blast Records last year and continue to support this release on the tour.
Trivium from Orlando , Florida is a rock and progressive metal band. Their latest offering with Roadrunner Records In The Court Of The Dragon drops October 8th. Check out the awesome video of the title track here.
During Trivium’s set, the headbanging front row was oblivious to the man in the banana costume behind them in full-on air guitar mode. Rock on dude.
Powerhouse Lamb Of God melted the faces of the crowd with an amazing amount of pyro and hot heavy metal. Frontman Randy Blythe paced the stage furiously and at one point jumped off of the drum riser as the fireballs exploded behind him.
Thrash Metal pioneers Megadeth took the stage and the crowd roared their approval with plenty of devil horns going up. It was a loud, fast and frenzied set from the LA band that formed in 1981 by vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson.
