We’ve known and been fans of James Barker and his band of merry men for a long time and it’s always cool when you see others discover how great they are and how much talent they have.The guys in the James Barker Band may not be touring at the moment, no one is, but they’ve taken full advantage of social media to stay connected to their fans with nightly live streams.
Yesterday afternoon their Quarantine Cover of Camila Cabello’s hit “Never Be the Same” got some unexpected attention from Camila herself.
With all concerts and festivals on hold artists have more time to keep up with what’s going on on their social media so while Cabello was isolating at home she got a notification that she was tagged in the video.
She proceeded to share the performance to her Instagram stories: https://www.instagram.com/stories/camila_cabello/?hl=en with the caption “James Barker Band wow. you guys sound gorgeous”
What followed was a barrage of Camila Cabello fans raving about how great “Never Be The Same” sounds as a country song with their delivery and that they should do a studio recording of the song. Little did they know that not only did James Barker Band release a studio version of the single (listen here on Spotify) but they also recorded a stunning music video featuring World of Dance contestants, Luka & Jenalyn.
If you’re not on the JBB bandwagon yet what are you waiting for? Not only are these guys some of the most down to earth people you’ll ever meet they are one of the most fun bands to watch perform live.
