Progressive metal band Queensryche headlined at The Roost On The River Music Center in Newark Ohio last Saturday. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor show and we were there to capture the action.
Newark’s Suicide Toyz kicked off the night with a heavy dose of hard rock and metal.
Next up, 8lb Pressure, a popular Columbus Ohio hard rock band, took the stage and really got the crowd worked up. These guys have so much fun on stage!
LA based high energy rock band Liliac lit the stage on fire with a combination of rock covers and original tunes off their latest EP release “”Chain Of Thorns. The band is made up of 3 brothers and two sisters ages 11 to 19.
They burst onto the scene in a big way last year by covering Dio’s “Rainbow In The Dark” in a video that quickly went viral. When Liliac finally launched into Rainbow, the crowd went crazy singing along, horns up, dancing. It was a powerful set to be sure!
When Queensryche finally took the stage, the crowd was ready and roared back their appreciation.
They are so excellent live! Throughout the set, the band was tight and Todd La Torre, being the talented vocalist he is, absolutely nailed it especially on “Silent Lucidity.”
If you get a chance to catch Queensryche live, definitely check them out! And check out the rest of our photos in the gallery below.
