Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Festival is an acclaimed sporting and family-friendly event held annually in Ottawa.The Dragon Boat races are the largest in North America, and coupled with the free concerts and activities hosted each day, Mooney’s Bay Park sees an influx of locals and visitors to enjoy the event. This year, the Festival was held June 20th to 23rd, and talent from across Canada were slotted to play four evenings on the Hillside stage.
Day 3
On the third eve of the festival, singer/songwriter The Dill kicked off Saturday night on the hill, followed by Sacha, a country artist originally of Montreal. On her first time performing in Ottawa, she engaged the crowd with her own material, and a sing along style cover of Alanis Morissette. As the sun faded, Canadian country/pop singer Jess Moskaluke came out in a blue-light bathed haze, performing her songs with an genuine energy that prompted smiles and applause from those in attendance.

Day 4
For the fourth and final night, the eve began with Trails, proceeded by Ottawa’s own siblings, dubé. Their raw edged set included hair whips, high jumps. tour tales and a rockin’ out on a hockey stick guitar. The festival closed with Toronto alt-rockers USS amid a fervor of flashing lights, bass beats and cheers from the crowd. Fans danced the hour away, happy to sing along at the top of their lungs.
