As a recipient of the Entertainer of the Year award from the Academy of Country Music, headliner Luke Bryan gave a performance worthy of the title. The audience received their money’s worth, as Bryan performed 22 of his hit songs, accompanied by his charismatic energy and funky, hip shaking, dance moves.
The sold out show not only featured Bryan, but included Carly Pearce, Jon Pardi and country superstar Sam Hunt. Nashville based country music artist, Carly Pearce was first up. Better known for her song “Every Little Thing,” Pearce warmed up the audience for Jon Pardi with her inviting smile. Audience members not familiar with Pearce’s work are sure to look up the talented artist after the performance she gave.
Jon Pardi had the Vancouver fans in attendance swinging their partners while they belted out the lyrics to “Heartache on the Dance Floor.” The Californian native’s dance moves which consisted of shaking his hips may have been influenced by Bryan. Either way no one is complaining.
Heartthrob Sam Hunt came out singing his latest single “Downtown’s Dead.” The crowd was singing along to every song Hunt performed. While Hunt was singing “House Party” he joined the crowd, resulting in an up close and personal performance. Hunt topped off his set when he brought a piano on stage to sing “Make You Miss Me.” His entire performance took the audience on a whirlwind of emotions. The opening acts did not disappoint in prepping the crowd for Luke Bryan.
Luke Bryan carried on the high Sam Hunt left, opening the night with “Country Girl (Shake it for me)”, and closed it off with “That’s my kind of night”. Bryan brought the crowd home by singing for almost two hours with somehow leaving the 30,000 fans wanting more.
