Last year we joined forces with several local partners to help present Sing Out for CHEO. This amazing event has featured incredible performances by artists like the River Town Saints, Sandi Skye and, of course, event founder, Danny Sylvestre. We are now happy to announce that the next Sing Out for CHEO event will take place on February 22 at the Lone Star Loft in Ottawa.

This coming February, Danny Sylvestre is giving back to CHEO in the greatest way that he can – by performing. As CHEO Ambassador for this event, Danny, and his friends, will be combining their talents as singer/songwriters and entertainers to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
The evening will feature live performances from Danny Sylvestre and the Rainwater Whisky Band, as well as an undiscovered artist competition and a silent auction.

After our last event we sat down and listened to the feedback from our supporters. We heard loud and clear that you wanted a smaller, more intimate, venue and lower ticket prices so we’re thrilled that for our 2019 event tickets are only $10 per person!

New this year, “Sing out for CHEO” is giving area artists the chance to win one of three spots to also perform at this great event, and raise money for the CHEO Foundation for family-centered children patient care facilities in Ottawa and the Outaouais region! Submissions are open now until October 31st our panel of judges will select the top 10 and public voting begins in early November. The public will narrow it down to the top 3, who will perform at the event in February.
One of the three groups will be chosen, by our panel, for the ultimate prize pack which includes:
1. One original song (written or co-written by artist or supplied by an outside writer approved by the Sing Out for CHEO Judging committee) to be recorded at Sing Out for CHEO’s recording studio sponsor.
2. A music video for social media produced by Freedom Music .
3. The digital release of the song /video via Freedom Music to selected digital platforms.
4. Professional photo shoots with Sean Sisk Photography, from Ottawa, a celebrated artist photographer.
5. A full Artist/Band feature on Sound Check Entertainment and a photoshoot for the article.
6. Band photo, bio and website link posted on the Sing Out for CHEO website and social media sites for one year.
