Dean Brody’s PNE Summer Nights show in Vancouver’s Playland

Dean Brody took to the stage in Vancouver as part of the PNE Summer Nights Concert series with a full band and light show on the heals of a big announcement …

Dean has announced a cross-Canada acoustic tour and he’s NOT hitting many of the bigger cities/venues.  He’s going to make his way through the smaller communities and venues who would normally have a long trek to a show involving overnight stays.  The “Dirt Road Stories Tour” may not strictly involve unpaved trails to get to the venue, but it’ll be a stripped down and more intimate experience without the light show and gigantic screens for the people way in the back.

 

Approximately 2,500 fans got to experience the show last night, which is FREE for General Admission with a ticket into the Fairgrounds … but the paid for “Reserved” seating front and centre held a lot of fans so anxious for the show they were up on their feet with the light crew sent someone out on stage to hold up a reference for the video cameras to adjust color balance!

That tells me you have to move fast for tickets to the smaller venues on this new 35 date Dirt Road Tour when they go on sale THIS Friday August 24th.

 

A stripped down acoustic show also means Dean won’t get much of a chance to run around the stage – and onto the speakers – without his guitar … so here’s a collection of guitar-less Dean images from last night’s show.
