This past Saturday night Justin Moore brought his Southern’ drawl to Casino Rama for a packed house.
Now the last time I got to see Justin was when he opened for Miranda Lambert down at the Molson Amphitheatre 2 summers ago now. I can still remember how emotional Justin was that night and boy did he leave an impression on me as a guy that really cares about his music and his fans. On Saturday night that was again confirmed. Justin is 100% a class act. I know this because I witnessed it first hand. The night started off with SCE bringing a couple contest winners back to meet Justin before he hit the stage. What is typically a quick Hello and a picture turned into a great chat with our winners along with a few of Justin’s team members.
Our winners had driven in from the other side of Barrie with a rental car that seemed to be on the fritz. When our winner mentioned the car problems but would have done anything to ensure he made it for the M&G Justin and his team didn’t want the couple to drive home in a car that may or may not make it back home. So, as any good southern boy would do Justin offered our winners his room for the night as he was heading out and wasn’t going to need it. WHAT? Seriously, Justin Moore in fact gave his suite to our winners so they could enjoy a night out. How classy is that? UNREAL actually but really shows that Country artists care deeply about the fans and prove it almost on a daily basis.
Lets get to the music….
Justin hit the stage and man oh man can that boy sing! And this is true blue country music. No sugar coating on this stuff. His delivery was on point. And I mean ON POINT. Mr. Moore has one of those voices that just makes you “Feel” the song rather than just hearing it. It’s kinda hard to explain. But there is a real passion in it and it comes across in every song he performed.
One of the stand out songs from the night was his hit Small Town USA. Before he started into the song though he spoke about growing up in a Small Town and how that town was such a part of him. And how it didn’t matter if you grew up in Canada or the USA . This story could have happened in either country and how much that song meant to him. And then again, the passion while singing it was goosebump inducing.
Now, if you are anything like me I love when artists interact with the audience. Either pausing during the song to mention a funny story or maybe it’s the story they tell before the break into the next song. That to me is what the live experience is all about. Not a big fan of an artists getting up singing their 72 min worth and stepping off stage. Well Justin is not that artist. He is a fantastic story teller and you can see and hear that from the moment he steps on stage.
With a list of songs that have graced the charts over the last 4 or 5 years the evening was rammed with sing-alongs that the crowd just loved.
And @JustinColeMoore sure knows how to get his crowd singing along @CasinoRamaLive #WeLoveLive @BMLGCanada pic.twitter.com/YnRj0FC5qI

When Justin came back out for his encore he paid tribute to some of the amazing artists we have just recently lost such as Meryl Haggard, Glen Fry & Prince. We caught a piece of the Prince cover on video and have shared it on our FB Page. It was funny because later on in the song he hit some crazy high notes (I didn’t capture it) but he made mention that he hoped someone did capture on video cause he wanted to see that one again and laughed.
To sum it up in a nutshell. If you have a chance to see Justin Moore. Do it! Don’t hesitate one second. He is a hell of a performer and super great gut to boot. And if you ever finding yourself looking for a good place to eat before the show we can officially say St. Germaine at Rama is a fantastic place to grab dinner before the show and pray you get Andrew as your server (top shelf).
